Pimsleur is a method of acquiring language developed by Paul Pimsleur. It is an audio based system whereby a listener either constructs phrases or repeats from memory along with a recording. It emphasizes participation rather than rote memorization. The system is based on four major ideas i.e. anticipation, spaced repetition, organic learning and core vocabulary.
